Ontwerpplaats bni heeft inmiddels het schetsontwerp gepresenteerd en het is met veel enthousiasme ontvangen. Inmiddels is het voorlopigontwerp uitgewerkt en zal deze week gepresenteerd worden. Hierbij een reactie van de opdrachtgever:
We bought our house in Rijswijk in September 2010 and while the structure of the house is nice, the interior decoration is tired and dated. We want to renovate the entire interior of the house as well as some aspects of the exterior and we want a modern, minimalistic and unified style throughout. We starting working with an interior designer over the winter of 2010/2011 but for various reasons we decided to stop working with this designer, although this experience allowed us to refine what we want for our house. At the beginning of 2011 we started looking for an architect who could bring the fresh ideas as well as the quality and precision of work we want for our project and this lead us to Rik and Ontwerpplaats.
In our first meeting, we discussed our requirements with Rik and showed him our house, while he gave us some initial ideas and showed us extensive drawings, computer-aided designs and photos of projects he had already completed or was working on. We were impressed by his creativity, ingenuity and the quality of the execution, so we made the decision to work with him on our project. After having taken comprehensive measurements of our house, Rik drew up sketch designs for the entire interior, floor by floor (of which there are three) and gave three design options for each. Again, we were very impressed by the creativity and fresh ideas from Rik and consequently we accepted the first design options for each floor with almost no changes. We are now looking forward to meeting Rik again to see and discuss the preliminary precision design.
In conclusion, we have been very impressed by Rik so far and based on this we would gladly recommend him to others looking for an innovative, precise and enthusiastic architect. A and P.
